It has been commonly recognized that in the field of AI, there is a visible gap between works from research organizations and their general industry adoption. In this session, we will highlight results from some of the interesting research that has been published over the past couple of years, the practicality of implementation and industry adoption, and suggest several methods on how we can close the gap. More importantly, we want to facilitate a discussion of the industrial and societal impacts of these research results and how we may best navigate the ever-changing landscape in AI.
