Jocelyn Benson
Secretary of State, State of Michigan


A graduate of Harvard Law School and expert on civil rights law, education law and election law, Jocelyn Benson served as dean of Wayne State University Law School in Detroit. When she was appointed dean at age 36, she became the youngest woman in U.S. history to lead a top-100, accredited law school. She continues to serve as vice chair of the advisory board for the Levin Center at Wayne Law, which she founded with former U.S. Sen. Carl Levin. Previously, Benson was an associate professor and associate director of Wayne Law’s Damon J. Keith Center for Civil Rights.
 

Benson is the author of State Secretaries of State: Guardians of the Democratic Process, the first major book on the role of the secretary of state in enforcing election and campaign finance laws. She is also a co-founder and former president of Military Spouses of Michigan, a network dedicated to providing support and services to military spouses and their children. In 2015, she was inducted into the Michigan Women’s Hall of Fame and in 2016, she became one of a handful of women to have completed the Boston marathon while 8 months pregnant.

Joi Harris
President & Chief Operating Officer, DTE

Joi Harris is president and chief operating officer of DTE Energy. She is responsible for leading both DTE Electric and DTE Gas utilities, as well as Customer Service, Information Technology, Corporate Services and the Environmental Management and Safety organizations. As a senior leader at DTE, among many accomplishments, she has served as the president and chief operating officer of DTE Gas and has also led the construction of renewable energy projects and the company’s Blue Water Energy Center, positioning the company for a future of clean and sustainable energy production.

 

Harris’ career with DTE spans 35 years. She joined DTE Gas (formerly Michigan Consolidated Gas Company) in 1991 and served in leadership positions in a number of areas including distribution field operations, system control and transmission operations. Harris earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master of Business Administration degree from Wayne State University.

Grace Hansen
Vice President of Global Change, Stellantis & President of the Board, Michigan Council of Women in Technology (MCWT)

As a visionary technology leader, Grace Hansen is responsible for leading the Digital Transformation at Stellantis globally. Throughout her career, Grace has held several leadership positions in the IT areas of Digital Transformation, Network Architecture, Identity Management, Data Center Operations, and Systems Integration. She is passionate about digital and creating thoughtfully planned customer experiences that are engaging and drive adoption.

 

As a global leader, Grace is known for building and growing successful teams with an emphasis on transforming the organization and accelerating digital adoption. Grace believes that success comes from creating an ecosystem of partners that collaborate and inspire each other to innovate.

Channie Mize is the leader of the Ohio market for Slalom and is responsible for ensuring success of our clients across state. She has 20 years' experience in management and strategy consulting with tenures at Accenture and as a Partner at McKinsey & Co. Additionally, Channie was the VP of Pricing Strategy, Planning & Merchandise Analytics at Office Depot.

Telva McGruder

Executive Director of Global Body Manufacturing Engineering, General Motors

As the Executive Director of Global Body Manufacturing Engineering, Telva McGruder leads the next phase of transformation toward an increasingly automated and digital manufacturing approach for body and paint systems at General Motors. The team embraces technology focused on predictive analytics to run safely, sustainably, and efficiently while ensuring operational excellence, and launch quality for the global portfolio.
 

Akemi Mitchell

Executive Director, Standing on Glass

Akemi Mitchell serves as a partner and Executive Director of Standing on Glass. In this position, she provides strategic direction, business development, and consulting services on operational projects. Akemi has 26+ years of engineering and leadership experience. Before joining Standing on Glass, she held executive level positions in industrial manufacturing organizations including, VP of Quality for Trane Technologies/ Ingersoll Rand and SVP of Quality for the Detroit Lighting Authority.

 

Heidi Mattison

Chief Technology Officer, CabinetWorks Group

Heidi Mattison joined Cabinetworks Group in 2023 as Chief Technology Officer, responsible for leading Information Technology ,Digital Transformation, Innovation and Operational Technology across 24 locations including 18 manufacturing facilities. As a senior leader at Cabinetworks Group, she is also the Executive Sponsor of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee and Employee Resource Groups. Prior to joining Cabinetworks Group, she was the Chief Information Officer at Superior Industries and has held various leadership roles at ZF Group, TRW Automotive, Accenture, Starbucks, Robert Bosch and Mercedes Benz. Heidi is active in the community serving as the Career and Leadership Mission Lead for Michigan Council of Women in Technology, Advisory Board Member and Membership Co Chair for MichiganCIO, Member of the Evanta Detroit CIO and CISO Governing Body and Advisory Board Member of Oakland University Decision and Information Sciences Department.
 

Josie Archer

Senior Vice President of Sales, Aptiv

Josie Archer is senior vice president of global sales at Aptiv, a position she has held since November 2022. Essential to Ms. Archer’s role is her responsibility for leading the sales operations team, overseeing Aptiv’s training and development salesforce program, and generating successful relationships between our customers in all regions. Ms. Archer is also the Troy Technical Center champion for Aptiv’s Women’s Network, where she creates an inclusive and enriching space for women in all departments of the company to come together to connect, develop, and grow.
