Debashree Dasgupta, Amazon Web Services 

Head, Digital Innovation (Business Development) , Canada

Debashree Dasgupta heads the Canadian Digital Innovation function at AWS and has been instrumental in shaping the generative AI strategy in Canada. With 17+ years of leadership experience in product management, consulting, and strategic partnerships, Debashree joined Amazon in 2016 leading product functions at Amazon Prime and Amazon Logistics. In her current role, Debashree facilitates strategic conversations with AWS customers to help them leverage the cloud and emerging technologies like generative AI to mobilize their organizations to solve complex challenges and transform their businesses and industries. Prior to Amazon, Debashree held progressively senior roles at Gartner Consulting, EY and Accenture. She holds a Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from McGill university, and an MBA from University of Toronto.

Behrooz Koohmareh Hosseini, Slalom Canada

Delivery Director, D&A Strategy

Behrooz Koohmareh Hosseini is a distinguished Data and AI professional, holding a Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Alberta and an M.Sc. from INPL/Lorraine Polytechnique University in France. At Slalom Canada, he spearheads the delivery of Data & AI implementations, with a primary focus on Western Canada.  

Behrooz leads multifaceted projects across a wide array of sectors, including Energy, Mining, Housing, Retail, and Government. His global expertise is underpinned by collaborations with renowned organizations such as Total, Wintershall, Suncor, and CGG.  

In addition to his corporate endeavors, Behrooz holds the role of Adjunct Professor at the University of Calgary. As a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) affiliated with APEGA, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of Data and AI, contributing both to academia and industry. Behrooz's dedication to innovation and excellence in these fields positions him as a leading authority in the ever-evolving realm of Data and Artificial Intelligence with over 13 years of experience in different areas of Modelling, Simulation, AI and Data, as well as experience in NLP and Gen AI. 

Kevin Derman, Slalom Canada 

Alliance Director, AWS

Kevin Derman is a Technology and Human Potential Evangelist. His favourite topic being the potential when these two forces are combined. Kevin is the Strategic Alliance Director for the AWS Alliance for Slalom Canada. Previously he has headed up the Partner and Channel Strategy both for Microsoft South Africa and IBM for the Sub Saharan Africa region. 

Kevin’s  various career experiences incorporate global corporates, consulting and entrepreneurial start-ups, including co-founding Infointeg, an Internet Start-up, Kaskade.Cloud (leading AWS Cloud Provider and being a motivational and keynote speaker.

He has a passion for machine learning and generative AI, and is incredibly optimistic about the immense value this technology can bring to humankind.
