Accelerated VMware Exit for Savings and Risk Reduction with iSelect
Facing a VMware Cloud license renewal, Australian insurance company iSelect needed a swift migration to AWS to avoid higher costs and reduce data centre dependency. Previously, only one of five business verticals had been migrated over 18 months. Slalom assessed iSelect’s architecture, network flows, and application dependencies.
Slalom then created a comprehensive plan and, in 10 weeks, migrated the remaining four verticals, including 40 servers, from VMware Cloud to AWS Cloud Native. This seamless migration, supported by Slalom Hypercare, allowed iSelect to meet their deadline and avoid significant costs.
The partnership with Slalom eliminated future expenses and redirected funds towards modernisation. iSelect is now better positioned to expand their cloud native footprint, innovate, and enhance their products and services for greater customer value.
