Four steps to integrate student data and voice

Decreasing enrollment in higher education continues to challenge leaders across all types of institutions in the United States. To counter this challenge with improvements to the student experience, leaders have the opportunity to integrate and elevate the role of the student voice through Student Listening.

An effective Student Listening solution is composed of integrated systems and platforms that help leaders:

  1. Sense: Sense and detect relevant factors in the learning environment.
  2. Perceive: Perceive and understand indicators that might signal trouble.
  3. Decide: Decide what actions can and should be taken.
  4. Act: Act on those decisions through university staff, faculty, and available resources.
