SLALOM PRESENTS:

M&A virtual roundtable | January 16, 2024

Let's discuss Divestitures and M&A readiness

Join our next quarterly M&A roundtable on Tuesday, January 16 from 12-1 p.m. PT, where we’re bringing together an exclusive group of M&A leaders for thought-provoking discussions on industry trends. This quarter, we’re excited to focus on Divestitures and M&A readiness with the help of two guest speakers.

Divestitures

Steve Brugger is the CEO of BrainChild Bio, a kids-first, clinical-stage biotechnology company spinning out of Seattle Children’s, focused on harnessing the power of CAR-T cell technology for tumors in the central nervous system. He has experience in pharma that spans 40 years, including as CEO of Affinivax, a vaccine company acquired last year by GSK for $3.3 billion.

Steve will join us in a discussion to give his perspectives on managing the spin-out process, growing a biotech into an investor-ready company, and maintaining focus on the founding mission throughout the process.

M&A readiness

Seema Nimmagadda, M&A integration lead at Woven by Toyota, brings a wealth of experience from previous M&A positions at prolific acquirers like Cisco and GE Digital.

Our discussion with Seema will center around two key areas: firstly, preparing an organization for a series of acquisitions, and secondly, contributions that integration professionals make to an organization during periods when there are no active deals.
